Super Hero Generation Game Unites Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Gundam Characters
This week’s issue of Kadokawa’s Famitsu magazine announced on Thursday that Bandai Namco Games is developing the Super Hero Generation simulation role-playing game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita consoles. The game will unite characters from the Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Gundam franchises.
Tom Create, the studio that has handled the SD Gundam G Generation game series for more than 16 years, is developing the new game. In the game, players will control three players (one from each of the three franchises) to oppose a “great evil” whose plan is to destroy the world.
Confirmed characters include:
Unicorn Gundam, whose strong point is the Beam Tonfa. When Unicorn Gundam’s hit points get low, its power level rises.
Kamen Rider Wizard, who can use the “strike wizard” kick attack where he uses a magic circle to summon the elements.
Ultraman Ginga, who uses the “ginga cross shoot” attack where Hikaru Raido’s (voiced by Takuya Negishi) whole crystal lights up blue and he gives a strong yell as he fires a light beam.
Kamen Rider Black RX with the ” Revol Crash” attack, which sends energy at the opponent.
The game is slated to ship on October 23. The PS Vita version will retail for 6,640 yen (about US$65) for the physical and download versions, and the “special sound edition” will retail for 9,500 yen (US$93). The PS3 version will retail for 7,600 yen (US$75) for the physical and download versions, and the “special sound edition” will retail for 10,450 yen (US$103).
