Some of you may be noticed that the Bandai logo changed from Red to Blue and we are pretty sure that many of you do not bother about the Bandai logo colour, as long as Bandai keep releasing new Gunpla.
However, we still like to share this informative article with you why Bandai updated new logo. Understand this is the old news that happened in last year, but it’s better late than never. XD
Apparently, Bandai Co., Ltd split into 2 companies, Bandai and Bandai Spirits. Bandai has a red logo and will focus on toy products aimed at younger demographics and other markets such as confectionery, trading cards, and apparel. While Bandai Spirits has a blue logo and contains products aimed at the mature collector demographic, these would be Model kits + Collectible figure products + the lottery items from Ichiban kuji. This means that BANDAI SPIRITS now running Tamashii Nation series. So you will be seeing the new Blue Bandai logo appear on Tamashii nation products such as S.H.figuarts, S.H. MonsterArts, D-Arts, Metal Build, DX Soul of Chogokin and more.
Thus, the new production kits will be switched over to the new logo format and have new UPC, item number. Eventually Bandai Hobby will reprint all of its active products with the new Blue logo. There is literally no change in the product besides the logo, item number, and UPC.
We will still see the Red Bandai logo around on normal kits product and other toy lines. Its just the blue logo would be on higher end market product.
We hope this article could help you to have better understanding about the Bandai restructure. 🙂
