This kit features the same incredibly flexible inner frame and sharply detailed armor, and comes armed with its signature weaponry including the beam rifle, hyper bazooka, Gundam hammer, two beam sabers, and shield. An unpainted in-scale pilot figure of Amuro Ray (molded in white) is included.

The RX-78-2 Gundam(aka Gundam) is the titular mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam. Part of the RX-78 Gundam series, It was built in secret on Side 7, the Gundam would turn the tide of war in favor of the Earth Federation during the One Year War. The unit was primarily piloted by Amuro Ray.

The Gundam was incredibly advanced for its time. Built from lightweight Luna Titanium, its frame was both lighter than that of Zeon's mass-produced Mobile Suits and much sturdier, able to shrug off a Zaku's machine gun fire with little to no damage. Its offensive power was above and beyond that of the Zeon Zakus. The Gundam would engage in most battles with its Beam Rifle making it the first Mobile Suit to have firepower equivalent to a battleship beam cannon. In addition, it made use of two beam sabers, a blade of extremely hot plasma which could cut through any metal with ease. Those beam sabers could be extended into a spear-like beam javelin, which could be used to stab into an enemy from a longer distance than the blade of the saber would allow.

The Gundam also used more conventional weaponry: it could be launched with a Hyper Bazooka, the Federation's answer to the bazookas used by Zeon's Zakus; in addition, its head was outfitted with a pair of small vulcan cannons, providing it with a last resort weapon as well as a way of attacking light-armored aircraft and vehicles without wasting ammo or energy from its more powerful armaments. It also made use of a very unconventional close-range weapon known as the Gundam Hammer - a large weapon similar to a flail which could be swung at enemies to deal crushing damage.

The Gundam Hammer was eventually upgraded for use in space and outfitted with a number of verniers on the ball, and renamed to be the Hyper Hammer. Lastly, it wielded a large shield which would offer it a defense against enemy attacks that not even its Luna Titanium body could withstand without damage. Gundam pilot Amuro Ray would make use of the shield as a decoy in many battles, taking advantage of its size to fool the enemy into thinking he was charging at them, then attacking the enemy through the shield.

In terms of technology, the Gundam was equipped with a sophisticated Learning Computer which would collect pilot and enemy data during skirmishes and allow the Gundam to operate more effectively. The data from the computer was used by the Federation to improve the controls of the Gundam's mass-produced form, the RGM-79 GM. In addition, it was upgraded by Federation technician Mosque Han shortly before the Battle of A Boa Qu to improve its reaction times, the joints of the Gundam were given a Magnetic Coating, based on the experimental procedure performed on the RX-78-3 "G-3" Gundam and later used Amuro's intended successor unit, the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex".

The Gundam makes use of the Core Block System implemented in the other V Project units. The torso of the Gundam is mostly hollow so that a FF-X7 Core Fighter can dock with it. This allows the pilot to jettison the legs and torso of the Gundam should the Gundam be too heavily damaged and gives the pilot a chance to escape from battle.

Later, during Operation Odessa, the Gundam is given a support unit known as the G-Fighter. The two G-Fighters were designed to take advantage of the Gundam's modular system and diversify the Gundam's role in active combat. These modes ranged from the assault bomber G-Armor to the close combat support tank G-Bull

Weapons
  • 60mm Gatling Cannons "Vulcan Gun"- The Vulcan cannons were 60mm Gatling Guns stored on the sides of the Gundam's head. Having the greatest rate of fire of all the Gundam's weapons these are primarily used to ward off advancing enemies, shoot down missiles, or hit other fast moving targets. They also made good use as an anti-aircraft and anti-personnel weapons. The Vulcan cannons however had a hard time piercing heavy armor (Though they had shown the ability to do severe damage to Mobile Suit's if fired at point-blank range)and thus were not often used against larger, more heavily armored foes. Still the Vulcans were useful in preserving ammunition for the Gundam's more powerful weapons such as the Beam Rifle.
  • BAUVA*XBR-M-79-07G (Bauva eXperimental Beam Rifle Medium-range) - A revolutionary weapon for it's time, the Beam Rifle is the primary weapon used by the Gundam. Making use of the Federations E-cap (or "energy capacitor") technology, the rifle uses charged concentrations of Minovsky particles as ammunition. This gives the beam rifle firepower equivalent to that of a battleship's beam cannons. As the Minovsky particles destroy matter on a molecular scale, the beam rifle can penetrate even the thickest armor and destroy its target with a single shot. One weak point of the rifle was its energy limits. The rifle could only be fired 16 times before depleting its energy and becoming useless.
  • Beam Saber- The Gundam was the first mobile suit to ever use a beam-oriented weapon in melee combat. The sabers are stored on the backpack, and can transform from saber to the Gundam Javelin, a large pole with a three pronged beam at the end. The beam sabers use Minovsky particles held in place by an I-Field to form an effective cutting surface that can slice through nearly any material. The particles for the beam sabers are stored by E-cap in the hilt of the saber, which is recharged from the Gundam's reactor when the saber is returned to its socket. Once activated, beam sabers do not rely on the mobile suit's reactor and can be thrown or discarded as decoys. The beam saber is most often used for close range combat or as an emergency weapon once all other ammunition has been depleted.
  • Gundam Hammer/Hyper Hammer - A rather unusual weapon, the Gundam Hammer was essentially a large spiked ball attached to a chain. It was used to give the Gundam a ranged melee weapon. The Gundam could either throw or swing the Hammer around itself in order to impact and damage its target through the sheer mass of the hammer. Later, it was upgraded into the Hyper Hammer and had several rockets mounted into the ball in order to give it use in space allowing it to maneuver in zero-gravity also the ability to change it's direction before impact, and to increase the damage it could cause.
  • BLASH*XHB-L-03/N-STD (Blash eXperimental Hyper Bazooka Long-range) - Similar to the Zaku's Bazooka, the Hyper Bazooka was a heavy weapon used by the Gundam. Technically a large rocket launcher it could fire several 380mm missiles to attack targets at long range. While very powerful the Hyper Bazooka had a slow rate of fire and fairly little of ammunition. Most oftenly used to take out slow, heavily armored targets.
  • RX*M-Sh-008/S-01025 (Renpou [Federation] eXperimental Medium Shield) - Hand-carried, forearm-mounted or stored on the Gundam's backpack, the shield is a simple defense used to block most incoming ballistic and explosive projectiles. Also used to great effect in close quarters battle with enemy mobile suits. Has a view port than can be sealed off with an internal blast plate. The shield is also used to deflect heat away from the mobile suit when undergoing atmospheric re-entry.
  • Core Block System - The initial idea of the Core Fighter was as a form of escape if the Gundam were to be destroyed, allowing the irreplaceable data collected by the learning computer and the pilot to escape from a replaceable machine. Another idea was that the Core Fighter could be launched into the field as a support fighter, and the A and B blocks could be delivered by another vehicle (the Federation developed a support unit, the Gunperry, for this role) if needed for a mid-air conversion into a mobile suit.
  • Learning Computer System - A critical component of the Gundam's success in combat, the Learning Computer System was similar to a modern day black box. It recorded the data from each of the Gundam's battles for further use. However, the system could also actively learn and improve the capabilities of the Gundam, explaining why Amuro had such difficulty fighting two Zaku IIs on his first try but managed to hold off ace pilot Char Aznable at Luna II.
  • Re-entry Coolant System - The re-entry system is used for only emergencies when the Gundam is falling to Earth and has no chance of reaching its carrier. The coolant system acts as a large heat-resistant film which lowers the Gundam's temperature when descending to Earth.

MG 1/100 RX-78-3 G-3 Gundam

  • Bandai's Master Grade (MG) "RX-78-3" is meant to attract the mature modeler who remembers growing up with Gundam, but wouldn't think of building the primitive kits that were released when Gundam first was broadcast in 1980 (the original kit is still available, by the way. 700 yen). 
  •  Like all the kits in the MG series, the level of detail is superb, and virtually everything moves. Panels on the legs flip open to reveal internal mechanisms. The head has a panel, too. 
  • Even the "Core Fighter" cockpit ship can be removed from its belly. Fine mesh parts cover the inside of the chest air intakes for added realism. Three types of hands are included -- open palm, fists, and posable (moving fingers) for gripping any of the several weapons that comes with the kit. All of Bandai's MG (as well as HG) kits are completely snap-together, and parts are molded in color, so no painting is necessary. 
  • Of course, the use of cement and paints will improve the appearance of a finished model. Many of the surface markings are printed right onto the plastic parts to begin with, but the kit includes replacement transfers for those people who wish to paint their work. 
  • The RX-78-3 kit is identical to the RX-78-2 except that it is molded in blue and gray plastic, rather than the more "festive" colors of the original.

[007] HG 1/144 Gundam AGE-1 Spallow

According to wikipedia: 
A high speed variant of the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal. At 33.4 tons, it is almost 25% lighter than the AGE-1 Normal. The Spallow was developed to counter the UE's high speed xvv-xc Zedas. The introduction of lighter parts and vernier/attitude control thrusters allows the Spallow to achieve mobility unprecedented in the history of MS. Its speed is at least as great as that of the Zedas, and its "Shigiru Blade" short sword has even greater cutting power than the Zedas sword, cutting through its blade with barely any effort. In order to reduce its chances of being detected, it was not given any beam weapons. 
  • Shiguru Blade: A short sword that functions as Spallow's main weapon. The Shiguru Blade can cut through the armor and sword of the Zedas. The Spallow can increase cutting strength by using the blade in conjunction with a built-in forearm thruster. Despite its appearance, the blade is actually really heavy and requires the whole body to swing in order to make the blade swing as well. The blade also requires time to reharden itself after cuts and is not designed to be used for long periods. - Needle Gun: Needle launchers concealed in the unit's knees.

According to wikipedia, this mobile suite is a close combat type of Gundam Age Normal-1: 
A new form of the Gundam AGE-1 developed by the AGE System. Reminiscent of a wrestler, the Titus is a specialized melee combat form and the emitters across its body allow it to perform devastating physical attacks. The Titus was developed to counter the ovv-a Baqto for the AGE System's answer was to demonstrate overwhelming combat power that combines offense and defense. Aside from the Baqto the Titus's power is quite effective against the ovv-f Gafran, however its speed is quite low, leaving it severely disadvantaged against the high-speed xvv-xc Zedas . By releasing the system's limiter, the AGE-1 Titus can enter a "maximum output" mode. 

Weapons
  • Beam Emitters:The Gundam Titus's arms and legs are equipped with a number of beam blade emitters. These beam blades are combined with the Titus's powerful strength to destroy the enemy. 
  • Beam Lariat: Emitters in the forearm wrap the Gundam's forearm in a powerful circular beam blade. This beam blade is used in a wrestling-style lariat attack where the Gundam rams the enemy with its outstretched arm. 
  • Beam Shoulder Emitters:The Gundam Titus has four emitters in each shoulder which create four short beam blades that are used to enhance the unit's shoulder impacts. This attack seems to have more power than the five beam blades from a Baqto's spread beam cannon. 
  • Beam Knee Emitters: The Gundam Titus has three emitters in each knee which create three short beam blades that are used to enhance the unit's impacts with beam blades.

- Mysterious Enemy [UE (Enemy Unknown). - To reproduce the variation of the dragon type. - Reproduce the entire body poses in a play at full capacity. - Clear parts spec chest beam cannon. - Accessories: beam saber, hand grip (left), flat hand (left) According to wikipedia: The Gafran is the mainstay transformable mass production MS used by the Vagan nation, and is characterized by its humanoid shape. The Gafran shows superior traits than the RGE-B790 Genoace in terms of offense, mobility and defense. Prior to the appearance of the AGE-1, it was thought to be invincible. There are color variations but it is unknown what they are supposed to distinguish. It possesses the ability to transform into an alternate "dragon-like" mode. A common feature of these machines are the waist-mounted movable stabilizer wings . It appears that when encountering something new, the Gafran can scan it using a red light. What this scan does is unknown. Vagan machines are installed with a self-destruct mechanism in order to prevent technology and information from getting into the hands of the Earth Federation military . By A.G. 164, this function is removed from most Vagan MS [5]. The majority of the Gafran's weapons are fixed, save for the handheld Colony Destroyer weapon. The majority of seen Gafran have been blue in color, however occasionally a more uniquely colored unit is seen that acts as a commander to the standard colored ones. It is unknown if these units are technologically different or if the only changes are aesthetics. Weapons - Beam Rifle: Serves as the Gafran's tail when transformed. Its beam rifle can be held over or under the right shoulder when in use, it is a powerful long-range weapon that can destroy a mobile suit with one shot. - Beam Vulcan/Beam Saber: Mounted on both hands. Fairly effective at damaging or destroying most human made creations, however, it wasn't powerful enough to damage the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal. Its beam vulcan also possesses the ability to generate a beam saber. - Diffuse Beam Cannon: Mounted in torso. Generates a very wide beam ideal for eliminating difficult enemies that stand before the Gafran. Molded expertly in colored plastic, featuring Bandai's innovated multi-gate technology (which allows multiple colors to be shot on a single runner), it's extremely well-detailed as is typical of HG kits. Joints are movable via polycaps. The backpack can be pulled up after completion and used as shielding, just as in the series. Stickers are included for details.
